Paul Acreman (acoustic stage) Local singer/guitarist.
Opening the musical bill, Paul combines his original
material with pleasing, well-known covers.

The Socials (main stage) “A brilliant new up and
coming band, each member is highly talented and excellent
to watch…” BBC Radio 2. Indie style guitar based band.
14.15:
Ian Staples (acoustic stage) A unique guitar and vocal
experience, relax and listen to a great set of original
songs. Ian’s many years of experience includes sharing the
stage with The Rolling Stones back in the 60’s.
14.30:
That’s What She Said (main stage), James Beck songwriting
talent is incredibly mature for one so young and a natural
stage performer. The band comprises equally promising new
local musical performers.
15.00:
Barnie Newman (acoustic stage), a blend of skilled,
crafted guitar playing and vocals ensure that Barnie’s
wonderful, original songwriting is perfectly presented.

Heatseekers (main stage) this local Hooky based
rock covers band are building a strong following with solid
high energy competent musicianship.
15.50:
Scarecrow (acoustic stage) an Oxfordshire based band
with their roots firmly in traditional music; instrumental
dance tunes and folk songs, as well as jazz and blues.
Combining known and obscure songs with tight, vibrant and
unusual arrangements.
16.20:
The Red Bullets (main stage) The Red Bullets are a band
borne out of a love for songwriting and excellent
musicianship, embracing great pop tunes but not forgetting
the rock ‘n’ roll roots. This professional outfit are
performing internationally and at gigs all over the UK.
17.30:
The Scholars (main stage) a 'Dark/Pop' quintet from
Banbury are fast becoming a band to take note of. Their
music has been played as part of the 'BBC Introducing'
programme on BBC West Midlands, BBC Oxford, BBC Bristol and
on Tom Robinson's Show on BBC Radio 6 Music.
18.00:
Jake Jacob (acoustic stage) an intense and passionate
performer of bittersweet acoustic based songs on piano
& guitar, will include tracks from his acclaimed 2005
solo album 'Until England'.
18.30:
Relay (Main stage) already securing the
opening spot at the 2009 Cornbury Festival after winning
local young talent battle of the bands, this exceptional
three piece are on the road to success, see them here at
MAC!

The Machine Breakers (acoustic stage) – With
several excellent original albums to their credit, we are
thrilled to welcome back this all-acoustic band to perform
their own blend of contemporary rootsy-folk-rock.

Lost Transmission (main stage)
Eastern-influenced rock combining equal amounts of
intricacy and energy. Their performances around the UK have
led to top reviews and radio airplay. "Elbow, Muse and
Radiohead cannot match the sheer abandon of Lost
Transmission's offering's novel, noteworthy and abnormally
good!"

Kast Off Kinks!
We are proud to announce for 2009 the return of the amazing
Kast Off Kinks. The band features original members of the
Kinks and musicians who have created an amazing catalogue
of life defining music. The Kast Off Kinks headlined our
music festival in 2005 when they mesmerised listeners and
admirers of all ages with Kinks classic songs. Not a
tribute band, this is the real thing! Often joined by Ray
Davies the Kast Off Kinks are the definitive opportunity to
experience one of the most influential and prolific bands
in the history of Bristish music!
Featuring Mick Avory, John Dalton, Ian Gibbons and Dave
Clarke.
