General queries

  • Where can I buy tickets – tickets are available via Eventbrite, at the Hook Norton Brewery visitor centre and Hook Norton Shop & Post Office
  • Will tickets be available on the gate – yes, we will have a limited number of tickets available on the gate, however we advise you purchase in advance to avoid disappointment
  • Will there be wristbands – yes we’ll exchange your ticket/eticket for a wristband on arrival. Adult wristbands will be required to purchase alcohol
  • What do we do if we lose a child/children – we suggest you write a mobile number on your child’s wristband. Should they wander off, please approach any of our Stewards or Security personnel, or go to the main gate or First Aid tent.
  • Where can we find lost property – we collect abandoned items at the end of the night each night. Should you lose an item, please enquire at the main gate. If you’ve returned home without an item, please message us via Facebook: we store all lost property for 1 month after the event, if it remains unclaimed it goes to the local Helen & Douglas charity shop!
  • Do you accept card payments – you can use cash or a card at M@C, we’d prefer card in the first instance
  • Can we bring our own gazebos, chairs and picnic tables – it’s a no for gazebos, they obstruct the view for other event-goers. You can bring your picnic blankets, tables and chairs though!
  • What is there for the children to do – we’ll have a children’s entertainer on site, plus some hands-on activities especially for them, they can also enjoy the music!

Site Facilities

  • Are there toilets on site – yes, we have a full set of serviced loos and an accessible loo
  • Is there disabled access – there is limited priority parking for blue badge holders near to the festival field, however please bear in mind that the festival is held in a field and may not be fully accessible
  • Where do we park on arrival – parking will be clearly sign-posted, please do not park in the Brewery car parks. Priority parking is limited and only available to blue badge holders
  • Is there first aid – First Aid cover is provided with a dedicated team who will be situated near the field entrance
  • What do you do with the festival waste – all our rubbish is collected and sorted by the chaps at Banbury Plant & Skip Hire.

Food and Drink

  • Where can we go for breakfast – Hook Norton Brewery Malt House Kitchen serves breakfast from 8am Saturday and 9am Sunday. The Village Shop & Post Office, who have the same opening times as the Malt House, also has a wide range of goodies
  • Is there anything other than beer available –  yes! While we may enjoy a pint of Hooky, we know not everyone does and we have a number of different drinks vendors selling a wide range of drinks including coffee, cocktails and soft drinks
  • What food options are there on site – we have a range of food options, including burgers, curry, cake and ice cream. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic too (just remember the no-glass rule).

Restrictions

  • Dogs on leads are welcome in the festival field. Please be a responsible dog owner and pick up after your pooch
  • Glass on site is prohibited – the fields are used by the Hook Norton Brewery Shire Horses, their goat friends and other livestock, to keep them safe, no glass is to be brought onto the event site. Please be aware that we will confiscate bottles and glasses – empty or otherwise!
  • Open Fires and Barbeques are not permitted on either the festival or camping fields
  • No drones are to be flown over either the festival or camping sites.

  • Cash machine – Hook Norton hasn’t got a cash machine, but you can withdraw cash from the Post Office counter in the village shop. (We do, however take cards on site.)

Local transport – the Stagecoach 488 Banbury/Chipping Norton bus stops outside The Pear Tree Inn, which is a short walk to the festival field, and runs approximately 1 bus per hour. There is a reduced timetable on a Sunday, please check before travelling!

Places to stay – if you’re not into camping, you have many options for staying over the weekend although we advise you book early as the village is popular! Hook Norton’s 3 local pubs have rooms, however we have been advised that they are now booked to capacity.

The Pear Tree and The Sun Inn are both a short walk from the festival and, if you are staying at The Gate Hangs High, they have a shuttle available that will take you between the pub and the festival site.

There are numerous Air BnB options locally and in nearby Chipping Norton, a selection of pubs and hotel options.

Camping Facilities – please see the camping page for full information

  • Available on-site are a water point, toilets, rubbish disposal facility and Elsan and grey water waste disposal tank
  • Camping tickets can only be bought with festival tickets
  • You’ll need your Eventbrite receipt for your camping. Please bring a copy of this with you as this will be required for access to the camping field
  • Dogs on leads are welcome in the camping field – they should not be left unattended
  • The festival campsite will be open from 4pm Friday 5th July 2024
  • All NON Camping and Caravan Club caravans/campers must have vacated the site by 5pm Sunday 7th July 2024.
